The HLC is one of six regional accrediting bodies in the United States. Regional accreditation is a peer-reviewed process that confirms that the institution has achieved a level of quality.

NAICU

Council on Higher Education Accreditation

CHEA is a national advocate for accreditation and self-regulation of quality higher education in the United States. This member organization includes 3,000 degree granting institutions and 60 accrediting organizations. CHEA conducts reviews of accrediting organizations independent of those completed by the US Department of Education and maintains searchable databases of those entities.
